The BBQ Forum was started in November of 1995. In the beginning there were only a small number of messages posted to the forum. In 1996 and every year thereafter more and more messages were posted to the forum. In the middle part of the year 2006 the total message count of posted messages broke the 500,000 mark.

At times there have been more recipes posted and other years the tone of the forum change and lot of messages were posted about other subjects such as barbecue contests and posts about BBQ smokers.
